Central Florida ASSP November Meeting
November 11, 2024
11:30 am - 2:00 pm
In many high-hazard, field-based jobs, the workstation is not a static location, making traditional ergonomic adjustments challenging. Instead of trying to adapt the workstation to fit the employee, it’s crucial to prepare the employee for the dynamic nature of their work environment.
Lori, also known as The Movement Ninja, is an expert in empowering blue-collar workers to protect themselves from injury and pain. As a Strength Coach and Sports Massage Therapist, she founded Balance Biomechanics to emphasize the importance of work preparation, task awareness, and recovery. Lori works with companies to help employees manage ergonomic risks that can’t be engineered out of their tasks, focusing on injury prevention and effective preparation strategies.
Join us as Lori shares her valuable insights and techniques for preparing employees to handle the unique ergonomic challenges of high-hazard jobs. Learn how to equip your workforce with the tools they need to stay safe and healthy, no matter how unpredictable their workstations may be.
Lori is committed to inspiring both the “old and stubborn” and the “young and bulletproof” to take personal responsibility for their health and well-being. She combines a strong passion for teaching with expertise in manual therapies and human movement. She has built a unique community of health and medical professionals who speak and train at both regional and national levels. Based in Fort Myers, FL, Lori spends her free time with her husband, three children, and three rescue dogs.
