Welcome
Central Florida President Update
Welcome, All!
Whether you are a 20-year member or checking out our page for the first time, we are so excited you are here! As the chapter year has just begun, we are looking forward to all that the 2026-2027 year will bring. Our board members had a productive planning meeting in July to develop our strategy for the new year. Our core focuses this year will be on leadership commitment, member engagement, chapter growth & success, and key success indicators. As we look to increase member engagement, if you have someone in mind that would benefit from learning more about our ASSP chapter, please invite them as their first meeting is complimentary!
Call for Board Positions
Interested in giving back to the chapter? We have a few open board roles in which we are seeking passionate, collaborative individuals. Please contact me for more information on these positions.
Upcoming Events
Please join us for our September chapter meeting recognizing Suicide Awareness month and the connection to worker mental health featuring Cindy Mercado, MS, CSP, CertIOSH. Participants will explore the critical connection between workplace stress, burnout, mental health, and suicide prevention. This session examines how chronic stress and exhaustion can affect employee well-being, safety, decision-making, and performance and how supervisors and safety professionals can recognize warning signs, address workplace factors, promote well-being.
Take care of yourselves and each other,
Madeline
