OSHA Susan Harwood Training Grant Program

OSHA will provide $10.5 million in funding opportunities for Susan Harwood training grants to support worker safety and health.  The money is available for nonprofit organizations including community and faith-based organizations, employer associations, labor unions, joint labor/management associations, Indian tribes, and colleges and universities.

This grant program supports the creation of in-person, hands-on training and educational programs including the development of materials for workers and employers in small businesses; industries with high injury, illness and fatality rates; and vulnerable workers, who are underserved, have limited English proficiency or are temporary workers.

DOL – Trade Release

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) today announced that it will extend the comment period on the proposed rule on crane operator certification. Comments will now be accepted through July 5, 2018. This extension allows stakeholders more time to review the proposed rule.
