Central Florida President Update

As we move into November, I’m excited to share that our next chapter meeting will be held on November 3rd, featuring a return visit from Phillip Russell. Many of you know Phillip from past sessions, he always delivers an engaging and practical look at what’s happening in the world of OSHA and workplace safety.
This time, Phillip will lead us through an in-depth discussion on what we’ve seen from OSHA during the first year of Trump 47, and what employers and safety professionals can expect moving forward, regardless of the political climate. He’ll touch on the current status and possible future of several key regulatory initiatives, including:
- The proposed Heat Illness Prevention Standard
- The Walkaround Rule
- Other pending OSHA actions that could impact your workplace
Looking ahead, please also keep an eye out for details on our holiday celebration, always a great time to connect and close out the year together.
And finally, it’s that time again to submit your nominations for:
- Safety Professional of the Year (send email to heather.earl@disney.com)
- Academic Grants
Your participation and engagement make our chapter strong, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the November meeting.
Stay safe,
Josh Densberger
